Are you looking for a dynamic company to join? Roush has an immediate opening for a Powertrain Product Engineer to join our team. The Powertrain Product Engineer will provide design and release services to the Powertrain Engineering Department. This position is located in Allen Park, MI.
Responsibilities
Translate customer needs to design requirements and to feasible design concepts
Apply relevant engineering analysis to design components & subsystems
Manage CAD resources to develop 3D models and 2D prints
Develop & execute dFMEA and DVP&R documents
Conduct hardware development tasks to validate function
Support prototype and pre-production builds
Manage build-to-print and full-service suppliers
Manage CAE resources to analytically validate designs
Support production launch for responsible components/systems
Document & report status internally and externally to customers
Qualifications
Bachelor?s degree in Mechanical Engineering or other technical degree combined with equivalent experience
3 years minimum experience
Basic understanding of all powertrain subsystems
Advanced applied skills in 1 or more powertrain subsystems
Working knowledge of generic product development tasks from inception to production
Applied skills to develop dFMEA and DVP&R documents
Working knowledge of GD&T
