Above all, we believe that collaboration is the best way forward.Primary ResponsibilitiesThe selected candidates will be a current Electrical Engineering student or recent graduate with little to no power experience. Interns will perform tasks with varying levels of complexity, which are assigned by a Project Engineer, Project Leader, or Project Manager. Tasks will include being able to follow direction, assisting substation engineers in preparing design packages, performing simple calculations, attending internal meetings and participating in field reviews.QualificationsRequired Qualifications* Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or a graduate electrical or civil engineering program* Attention to detail* Possess strong problem solving and communication skills* Proficient with Microsoft Office (MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint) applications and a strong desire to learn* An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a mustPreferred Qualifications* Prefer 2 years completed toward degree with 3.0 GPA* Courses in Power/Energy a plus* Demonstrated knowledge of software packages related to field of study/industry* Experience with computer-aided design programs (AutoCAD, Microstation, etc.) is desired but not required for considerationWhy HDRAt HDR, we know work isn't only about who you work for; it's also about what you do and how you do it.
