FCA US, LLC Chassis / Dynamics Virtual Analysis Engineer in Auburn Hills, Michigan

As a Chassis / Dynamics Virtual Analysis Engineer you are responsible for Vehicle Dynamics performance optimization and validation of models via interaction with physical assessments. You will support multiple programs with analysis/optimization of suspension/steering sub-system kinematics and compliance; analytical assessments of full vehicle steady state and transient handling behavior; and calculation of associated component loads. You’ll also participate ion in development/implementation of associated processes is also required.Basic Qualifications:•Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or equivalent from an ABET accredited or equivalent program•3 years’ experience of chassis and multi-body and/or vehicle dynamics simulation with ADAMS/Car or CarSim•Familiarity with concepts as well as test and simulation techniques associated with suspension/steering system kinematics/compliance as well as vehicle ride/handling•Excellent communication skills and ability to coordinate activities with the extended team (Chassis release engineering, Advance Packaging, Vehicle Integration, Vehicle Dynamics, Scientific Labs, manufacturing, suppliers, etc.)Preferred Requirements:•Ability to interact with CAD systems, like NX for input to simulation models•Ability to develop custom routines (Visual Basic, ADAMS command files, ADAMS/Car templates, Matlab, etc.) to support process enhancement and standardizationOur benefits reflects the FCA commitment to helping you reach your personal and professional goals.
