FCA US, LLC Electrical and Electronic Systems Validation Engi in Auburn Hills, Michigan

FCA is seeking an Electrical Systems Validation Engineer who will be responsible for developing electrical system validation test plans and procedures for automotive body, audio, active chassis and/or safety systems. The Engineer will require the extensive use of CAN testing tools and traditional electrical testing equipment in an electrical lab atmosphere to test and troubleshoot vehicle systems. The Engineer will design automated test benches to support the above systems as well as troubleshoot complex automotive electrical issues. The Engineer will perform vehicle level networking testing, analyze the data and validate the integrity of the vehicle system.Basic Qualificationsbull;Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent (Materials/Chemical/ Civil/Aerospace/Computer) from an ABET accredited universitybull;Valid driverrsquo;s licensebull;Must be able and willing to drive and test vehiclesbull;Must be able to drive a company carbull;Must be able to obtain a chauffeurrsquo;s license to drive heavy duty pick-up trucksbull;Must be able to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%Preferred Qualificationsbull;Masterrsquo;s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent (Materials /Chemical/Civil/Aerospace/Computer) from an ABET accredited universitybull;5 years of experience in automotive engineeringbull;Demonstrated experience with electrical debugging tools such as a digital multi-meter, oscilloscope, CAN diagnostic tools (CANoe/CANalyzer), current probes and other diagnostic equipmentbull;Demonstrated ability to read and analyze digital communications data (CAN)bull;Desire to work on vehicles and in a hands-on test environmentbull;Demonstrated ability to develop a solid test plan from product requirementsbull;Demonstrated experience developing requirements-based test plans for electrical systemsbull;Demonstrated experience performing vehicle and system level validationbull;Demonstrated experience with DFMEA and DVPR processesbull;Demonstrated Microsoft Office and G Suite (Google) Application Skillsbull;DFSS or Reactive training or certificationbull;Demonstrated design or validation experiencebull;Extensive experience in high-speed digital and logic designbull;Demonstrated knowledge of CAN bus and experience using Vector CAN toolsbull;Demonstrated experience with CAN Diagnostic tools, CANoe, CANalyzerbull;Demonstrated ability to determine root cause and to debug CAN and CAN FD communication busesbull;Trained in DVP (Design Validation Plan) and DFMEA (Design Failure Modes and Effects Analysis)bull;Demonstrated experience in root cause analysis or certified problem-solving skills (Reactive Quality Green Belt or Reactive Quality Black Belt)bull;Demonstrated proficiency in all aspects of project development from vision and scope through all phases of design, development, implementation, deployment and project exitbull;Demonstrated system or component automated bench testing design experience includingknowledge of programming languages (i.e..
