The Stellantis Quality Organization is currently seeking an Engine Systems/HVAC – Warranty Reliability Specialist to join our Quality team at Stellantis Quality Engineering Center in Auburn Hills, Michigan. The Warranty Reliability Specialist is responsible to facilitate and lead quality teams to assist with identification and corrective actions of failures identified through the analysis process. Must have a proven track record for developing and executing standardization of manufacturing quality enablers. Must be a creative problem solver, proactive in the identification and resolution of vehicle quality. The selected Specialist will have experience in managing cross-functionally and possess a broad knowledge of the entire automotive engineering, manufacturing and quality landscape and present outstanding teamwork, interpersonal and communication skills.
The specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Identifying new emerging field issues by analyzing warranty returned material and data to understand failure modes and effects, managing part returns & analysis material activities for Engine Systems and HVAC components to ensure returned material are utilized to assist with Corporate Quality initiatives for root cause identification.
Review supplier testing procedures to ensure evaluations of material is accurate
Understanding of vehicles entire Engine System and HVAC, including electrical vehicles hybrid systems is required
Utilize corporate data reporting systems to capture quality spills to ensure clean points are in place as well as plan, prioritize, set goals and manage multiple projects in a technical and business environment
Represents the “Voice of the Customer” to ensure quality issues are escalated for resolution, contribute or drive team success by clarifying expectation and minimizing political hurdles, and demonstrate unwavering commitment to delivering results
Assist in managing day-to-day activities of assigned UAW personnel, must be self-motivated and willing to challenge teams on all aspects of quality
Engineering degree preferred or equivalent degree in a technical field of study
Experience within a union environment
Must possess strong communication and presentation skills
Self-motivated and willing to challenge teams on all aspects of quality
Minimum of five years of experience with Engine Systems and components
Mechanical Engineering or automotive experience preferred
Must have understanding of HVAC systems
Must have good technical and analytical problem-solving skills
Working knowledge of FCA data systems helpful
