The FCA Quality organization is seeking a solutions-oriented Quality Reliability Manager (Powertrain Electrified Systems) to join the Quality team at the FCA US Headquarters and Technology Center in Auburn Hills, MI. The Manager must be able to effectively interact and communicate position statements to other areas of Powertrain, Quality and Vehicle Engineering. The Manager must act as a global leader in powertrain reliability for our other Powertrain Engineering and Quality regions. During the product development lifecycle, the Manager must approve all validation plans for powertrain programs. The Quality Reliability Managers are instrumental in the launch readiness decisions. After launch, he/she must approve all design changes for the product life cycle of his/her commodities.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:bull;Execution of the Proactive Risk Assessment and Mitigation Process (RAMP) for electrified powertrain programs NAFTA design responsibilitybull;Execution of the Preventative Reliability Engineering Process (PREP) for global electrified powertrain programs Facilitate and report powertrain DFMEA KPI metricbull;Facilitate and approve Performance Standards, Design Failure Mode Effects Analysis, Design Validation Plan and Report, as well as vehicle durability and reliability test plansbull;Reporting of powertrain reliability key performance indicator metricsbull;Develop and communicate key enablers for launch decisionsbull;Ensure program reliability risks and issues have clear ownership and path to resolutionbull;Cost and timing ownershipbull;Approval authority in powertrain change management for reliability impact of design changesbull;Own powertrain reliability assessments in support of powertrain and vehicle program investigationsbull;Selecting and developing high potential employees to strengthen the QRE teambull;Provide reliability peer-to-peer training and guidance to other regions on joint reliability programsBasic Qualifications:bull;Bachelorrsquo;s degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Reliability, Statistics or related field from an ABET accredited college or universitybull;10 yearsrsquo; experience in Powertrain Development, Powertrain Testing, Quality, or Reliability Engineeringbull;Knowledge of the automotive industry and the various systems that are part of modern automobilesbull;3 year leading, directly or indirectly, high performance teamsbull;Demonstrated ability to build and lead high performing teams with a propensity to coach individuals beyond what they thought were capable ofbull;Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presenting complex material to all levels of leadershipbull;Proficient in MS Office, G-Suite, SharePointPreferred Qualifications:bull;1 or more years leading Powertrain Engine, Transmission, or electrification teams in the role as a CoE Leadbull;Assistant Chief Engineer, Development and Validation Supervisor or equivalent Knowledge in powertrain product development processesbull;Knowledge in application of Functional Block Diagrams, Design Failure Mode Effects Analysis (DFMEA) and Design Validation Plan and Report (DVPR)bull;Proven ability to manage multiple, concurrent projects to successful conclusionbull;Black Belt in Design for Six Sigma or Shaininbull;Experience with RAMP on powertrain or vehicle levelbull;System Level Thinker ndash; the ability to understand how the different powertrain components and systems are interdependentOur benefits reflects the FCA commitment to helping you reach your personal and professional goals.
