Qualifications
The Project Chief – HVAC Systems — BEV programs will be responsible for ensuring the design and development of the HVAC systems for BEV programs that meets or exceeds functional objectives for performance, ensure compliance for all technical requirements, cost, weight, investment.
The selected candidate will also be responsible for TCR, quality objectives and program KPI deliverables. He/she will also be responsible for managing program milestones, associated deliverables, change notices, sourcing and Part Development Planning as well as on-site pilot build support as required and will also work closely with internal and external resources to achieve program objectives, including the program Project Responsible, Design Responsible, Development Lead and Engineers, and downstream customers. Additionally, responsible for design room supervision, including time records, lost time, employee development.
Basic Qualifications:
Minimum of a Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering, Material Science or Chemical from an ABET accredited university
Minimum of EIGHT (8) years of experience in automotive engineering
Minimum of FIVE (5) years of design and development of HVAC Systems or related experience
Well-developed problem solving skills
Experience on hybrid and/or electric vehicles desired
Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
Acute attention to detail
Well-developed program management skills
Work effectively and manage non-direct reports
Preferred Qualifications:
Master of Science in Engineering or MBA
Experience with Design For Six Sigma (DFSS) and robust design processes
