FCA US, LLC Senior Supplier Operations Engineer Electrical an in Auburn Hills, Michigan

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is currentlly seeking all levels of Supplier Operations/Quality Engineers with expertise in Electrical and Electronics to work in at our Headquarters and Technical Center in Auburn Hills, MI.Essential responsibilities include but not limited to:The Senior Supplier Operations Engineer is responsible for directing and supervising activities related to the planning and managing all activities related to the successful industrialization and full production launch of purchased electrical/electronic and vehicle electrification/advanced propulsion components from inception to execution. The responsibilities include management of all critical disciplines with in FCA and our supplier partner network to ensure that all launch and production deliverables are met in a collaborative environment.•Lead evaluation of new suppliers and manufacturing technologies•Manage new supplier integration to FCA system and requirements•Facilitate supplier process production/industrialization implementation•Review and approve supplier partner process controls and quality gates to ensure world-class quality•Utilize structured problem solving approach (Reactive Black Belt, Six Sigma and other), World Class Manufacturing and Lean Production techniques to address part quality and capacity concerns•Provide leadership and guidance to address any launch related issues at various FCA facilities•Proactively manage sub-tier readiness for various components including: semi-conductors, printed circuit board, printed circuit board assemblies, sensors and various mechanical devicesBasic Qualifications:•Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (accreditation will be reviewed); Bachelor of Science in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Biomedical/Biomechanical/Bioengineering, Materials, Aerospace/Aeronautical, Mechatronics and other related degrees will also be considered based on practical experience•On-the-job experience in engineering, manufacturing, quality or other interdisciplinary fields related to the production of electrical, electronics, electrochemical and electromechanical devices•Ability to travel globally an up to 40%•Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite software•Experience with new emerging automotive technologies such as:•Autonomous vehicle systems and components•Power electronics for hybrid and electric vehicle systems•High voltage battery systems (Li-ion) and components•Electric drive and other types of motors•Hybrid and electric vehicle charging systemsPreferred Qualifications:•Master’s degree in Engineering or related field•Quality Certification•Program management Certification•Shainin/Six Sigma Black Belt•Experience with printed circuit board and board assembly, electrical systems, and electrical component assembly, ESD best practices•Experience with electronics interconnections including harnesses, cables and connectors•Experience with functional and end of line tests and testers•Experience with Mini-Tab, Stat Graphics and other statistical problem solving tools•Strong project management abilities•Experience and ability to mentor and guide outside organization•Strong communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills•Ability to interact with all levels of FCA and supplier partner managementOur benefits reflects the FCA commitment to helping you reach your personal and professional goals.
