Welding Project Engineer

HIROTEC AMERICA is the world's leading comprehensive engineering company; providing state of the art tooling, engineering services and products to automotive manufactures across the world. We are seeking a Welding Project Engineer to become a part of the HIROTEC AMERICA family.

The position would function as a Project Engineer to support the operational needs as the subject matter expert on weld engineering, reporting to the research and development department. Essential functions including but are not limited to process design, tryout and customer buyoff of all welding processes for projects; providing advanced technical solutions; developing and maintaining process documentation through project buyoff; and primary customer representation on all welding applications.


  • Four year degree in engineering discipline (welding preferred);

  • Fully knowledgeable of resistance and laser welding processes;

  • Ability to apply knowledge of capability studies, Gage R&R, and capability studies

  • Solid project management skills;

  • Ability to use project planning tools;

  • Understanding of Root Cause Analysis

  • Knowledge of metal joining technologies

  • Ability to travel for service and installation, both nationally and internationally;

  • Exceptional interpersonal/ communication skills;

  • Strong computer skills;

  • Possess strong organizational, teamwork, and leadership skills.
