Aerotek Electrical Hardware Engineer in BAY CITY, Michigan

Description:

Electrical Hardware Engineer

Will help design, develop, test and integrate PCB and electrical hardware into driving assisted features for the autonomous industry.

• Power Electronics Design and Analysis of 3 Phase machines

• Design, Build, and Test of Electrical Hardware Design and Processor Interfaces

• Bench, Test Stand, and Vehicle debug and analysis

Top Skills Details:

  • At least 3 years of working experience as an Electrical Engineer focused on Hardware (Design, Development, Testing and Integrating)

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering (plus Masters preferred)

  • Strong Knowledge of Electrical Hardware and Microprocessor Architecture

  • Capability to design and develop Schematics, analysis of circuit design to requirements, verification of performance to requirements

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

MUST HAVES:

  • At least 5 years of working experience as an Electrical Engineer focused on Hardware (Design, Development, Testing and Integrating)

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical or Computer Engineering

  • Strong Knowledge of Electrical Hardware and Microprocessor Architecture

  • Knowledge of Customer Specific CAN tools and Requirements

  • Capability to design and develop Schematics, analysis of circuit design to requirements, verification of performance to requirements

HIGHLY PREFERRED:

  • Knowledge of ISO 26262 Safety Standards and Requirements is preferred

  • Thermal Analysis Tools, Ex. Ansys or Flowtherm

  • IPC 610 Standards Class II and III, and other applicable IPC Stds.

  • Preferred to have knowledge of Freescale, Infineon, TI processors

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in Electrical Schematic Design and Development

  • Knowledge of and/or use of the list below:

Orcad Schematic Capture

Pspice Circuit Analysis Tools

Circuit Board Layout Tools, Ex. Pads, Mentor, Cadence

Processor Architecture/I.O. Interface knowledge

Canalyzer, Canope
