Saint-Gobain Designer II in Beaverton, Michigan
Create detailed 2d and 3d drawings in Solidworks to illustrate the required specifications for customer and manufacturing prints to produce the customer products in compliance with Saint-Gobain design library and design standards. Create Solidworks 3d models & 2d drawings for new silicone, C-Flex, & Polypropylene injection molds, using the Application Engineering Tooling Standards. Independently work with Application & Manufacturing Engineers as well as Business Development managers to make informed decisions on design outputs for customer drawings and/or manufacturing requested changes on legacy drawings thru an ECN process. Use 3D printers to provide Application Engineers/or customers prototypes for development of new product and process per request. Assist in the part build process. Independently facilitate continuous improvement and take the lead on design issues. Work with other departments as needed to resolve issues, use innovation to create new library items, and train and mentor other team members as needed.

2 Year Technical Degree or 4+ Years of manufacturing design experience in lieu of 2 yr. degree required
3-5 years of design related experience required
Computer Skills-AutoCAD, Solid Works, Excel, Word, MS-Projects, QAD, ePDM.
