Saint-Gobain Supplier Quality Engineer in Beaverton, Michigan

Utilizes specialized technical know-how to drive a variety of supplier quality areas under the guidance of the Plant Quality Manager.

  • Executes and documents Supplier Audits

  • Manages incoming Supplier Change Notifications, escalating as necessary through Change Control and Customer Notifications

  • Initiates and drives Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARS)

  • Develops Quality Agreements with key suppliers in accordance with Saint-Gobain standard criteria.

  • Manages the site Supplier Performance Scorecard

  • Leads customer complaint investigations stemming from supplied raw materials or components.

Promotes a safe working environment, complies with proper use of PPE, reports incidents, and participates in functional department safety meetings. Exhibits good environmental practices and procedures consistent with job(s) performed and EMS (Environmental Management System) requirements.

  • Bachelors Degree in Life Sciences or Engineering required.

  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in a Supplier Quality role and conducting Quality audits required.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required.

  • Strong organizational and interpersonal skills for effective interface with multiple suppliers and internal customers required.

  • Specific understanding and experience with medical devices and/or ISO 13485 preferred.

  • Executes and documents Supplier Audits.

  • Manages incoming Supplier Change Notifications, escalating as necessary through Change Control and Customer Notifications.

  • Initiates and drives Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARS).

  • Develops Quality Agreements with key suppliers in accordance with Saint-Gobain standard criteria.

  • Manages the site Supplier Performance Scorecard.

  • Coordinates New Vendor Approvals and the Approved Vendor List.

  • Leads customer complaint investigations stemming from supplied raw materials or components.
