divspan style="font-size:13.0pt"Project Engineer/span Bridgeport, MI Full-Time Contract SUMMARY - Project Engineer liThe Project Engineer is responsible for planning, scheduling, leading, managing and following all phases of design, detail, check, release, and follow-up on projects assigned/li liHe/She will research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications/li liThis person will also perform engineering duties for planning and designing functioning equipment/li liHe/She will oversee installation, operation, maintenance, and repair of equipment/li /ul QUALIFICATIONS - Project Engineer liTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily/li liRead technical journals, abstracts, manuals and specifications in a timely manner with full comprehension/li liThe requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required/li liReasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions/li liAdvanced knowledge with recent software such as Computer Aided Design (CAD) systems liNX, Solidworks AutoDesk CAD Softwares/li liVisio, JIRA, Teamcenter PLM/li liMS Word, Excel, Project, and Windows 7 or higher/li /ul /li /ul REQUIREMENTS - Project Engineer liAssociates Degree in Mechanical Engineering and/or equivalent in education and/or experience./li liMinimum of 10 years of experience in design and build of Assembly and/or Test Machines Systems./li liMinimum of 5-10 years experience as Designer and/or Project Engineer in a similar industry./li liMinimum 5 years experience with mechanical mechanisms, machinery, transmissions, engine assembly and test systems, and general physics./li /ul PREFERRED SKILLS - Project Engineer liB.S.M.E in Mechanical Engineering/li li10-15 years experience in design and build of Assembly and/or Test Machines and/or Systems./li liPrevious project management and leadership training./li /ul ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES - Project Engineer/div div liPlan, organize and coordinate the work efforts on projects assigned, including the development of detailed engineering schedules./li liResponsible for all phases of projects assigned in accordance with COMPANY Engineering Department Procedures./li liEfficiently perform all functions and duties of all lower level mechanical engineering positions./li liParticipate in the appropriate meetings to understand the upcoming project and the development of identifying key dates to accomplish project completion./li liRecommend to supervision when and how many people and hours of work are needed to accomplish the quot;key datesrdquo; as scheduled./li liRecommend to supervisors the strengths and weaknesses of personnel assigned./li liAttend and participate in all customer and COMPANY design review meetings for design approvals.
