The responsibilities include the definition of the initial project plan documents, coordination of calibration vehicles, review and approval of the calibration release DVPR and quality gate material, and scheduling calibration review meetings. The Lead Engineer will work with the team to collect and review the diagnostic robustness and compliance data evidence. He/she will lead team members to determine root cause, alternatives, corrective actions, and execute change implementation. The Lead Engineer will be responsible for elevating issues as necessary. Interface with DE, transmission, controls, and ePT calibration, hardware, vehicle platform, powertrain synthesis and other cross-functional teams. This applies to carry over products and future programs. Responsibilities also include goal setting and coaching activities of team members.Basic Qualifications:•Bachelor of Science in ME, EE or equivalent from an ABET accredited university•Minimum of 7 years accumulated experience in engine systems, calibration, powertrain systems or related engineering positions•Thorough understanding of powertrain system fundamentals•Proven leadership skills•Excellent communication, presentation and interpersonal skills•Outstanding problem solving and analytical skillsPreferred Qualifications:•Master of Science in ME, EE, Chemical Engineering or Masters of Science from an ABET accredited university•Experience with MATLAB / Simulink hardware in the loop development/verification•Database management of production calibrations•Proficient in the use of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint•Experience leading a group of engineers towards the accomplishment of complex tasks•Experience in diagnostic controls and/or calibrationOur benefits reflects the FCA commitment to helping you reach your personal and professional goals.
