Job Title:

ADAS Program and Architecture Engineer

Job Description & Qualifications:

Advanced Driver Assist Systems (ADAS) Program and Architecture Engineers provide program support through various program achievements by aligning future customer scenario requirements and balancing with affordable modular and scalable ADAS architecture strategy.

Responsibilities – Programs

  • Represent ADAS point of view, provide technical representation and manage vehicle program work from inception through strategy confirmation achievement

  • Improve customer insights to recommend product solutions which balance customer happiness with affordable cost

  • Integrate R&A, Product Planning, Functional Engineering and Marketing recommendations to develop program offering strategies

  • Ensure flawless hand-off to ADAS Program Delivery Team post achievement

Responsibilities – Architectures

  • Responsible for verifying that architecture hardware, control and sensing assumptions are capable of meeting future program targets and deliver over the lifetime of the architecture

  • Verify ADAS performance capability across each flexible architecture and align with the scalability strategy

  • Cascade requirements to all functional teams for ADAS-related modules to ensure robustness to competitive actions and technology (futuring)

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or Computer Science

  • 2+ years of experience delivering customer facing attributes or experiences (ex: Vehicle Integration, Human Machine Interface (HMI), Ergo, Powertrain)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of ADAS features and experiences

  • Understanding and experience with Design Thinking, Human Centered Design or User Experience

  • Familiarity with features or systems using radars, cameras, ultrasonic sensors or other related vehicle systems (ex: lighting, electrical, chassis, powertrain)

  • Understanding of Functional Safety (ISO 26262) and Failure Mode Avoidance

  • Experience developing test plans and prototype vehicle count estimation

  • Project management experience

  • Proficiency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)

  • Strong collaboration and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
