Advanced Driver Assistance Systems and Controls Systems Testing Dev.

Job Description & Qualifications:

Candidates for consideration will be responsible for supporting research and developmental efforts in Next-Generation Driver Assistance technologies.

Job responsibilities may encompass :

  • Creating and maintaining test documentation including procedures, best practices, reports.

  • Analyzing and reviewing test data to ensure proper system operation by utilizing real-time and post-processing data analysis tools (e.g. Matlab, etc.)

  • Designing and conducting experiments to validate vehicle system and subsystem performance

  • Defining system performance metrics and developing analysis software

  • Integrating vehicle and test hardware

  • Participating in requirement setting and failure mode analysis

  • Implementing and automating of regression and functional tests for software components

  • Implementing software to run real time or post process sensor data

  • Establishing guidelines to promote vehicle testing in a safe, effective, and efficient manner

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, Aerospace or Robotics

  • 1+ years’ experience in science and engineering with vehicle testing skills (coursework allowed)

  • 1+ years’ experience using data analysis tools (Matlab) to visualize and understand experiment data (coursework allowed)

Desired Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience working in a team-based project from inception to finish across multiple disciplines, e.g., hardware design and implementation, data acquisition and analysis, mathematical modeling, algorithm development, application implementation, systems engineering, etc.

  • Experience in a development or production system test environment

  • Experience in automotive or aerospace system testing and integration

  • Experience with systems engineering disciplines

  • Experience with model-based systems design tools, (e.g., SysML, DOORS, etc.)

  • Familiarity with CAN protocol, BroadR-Reach, GPS

  • Proven experience in problem solving, troubleshooting, and quick thinking

  • Experience with hands-on vehicle modifications, test setup, data acquisition, test driving

  • Experience with setting up and using test bench (HIL, SIL, MIL)
