Responsibilities

  • The Infotainment System Test Engineer is responsible writing test procedures and testing the Infotainment System, identifying and documenting System issues.

  • Ensuring the suppliers meets all the requirements of the Infotainment System IESS (GAP), IESS (Centerstack) and SPSS (Blue Oval) Architectures.

  • Performing and maintaining Infotainment System Design Verification (ISDV) test plans and managing completion of test combinations for GAP, Centerstack, and Blue Oval architectures for each model year.

  • The Infotainment System consists of the following components: Audio Control Modules, Satellite Radios, Family Entertainment Systems, Digital Signal Processors (external amplifier), Electronic Finish Panels, Media Gateway modules, Steering Wheel Controls, Displays, Climate Control, Cluster.

Qualifications

  • Language: Full command of English (Oral, reading, writing, and listening)

  • Undergraduate engineering degree in electronics, or electrical engineering-minimum requirement with Automotive background (Bonus)

  • Undergraduate GPA of at least 3.0 or equivalent

  • Computer skills including MS Office, Microsoft Excel, Word

  • Familiar with state transition diagrams and message flow diagrams

  • Knowledge of CANoe, using models, monitoring messages, and sending CAN messages

  • Capable of using oscilloscopes, multi-meters, and signal generators

  • Ability to communicate and interact with others

  • Knowledge/experience in requirement development and component/vehicle level testing

  • Familiarity with electrical architectures, electrical systems

  • Familiarity with Netcom tools and processes, CANalyzer, CANoe

  • Familiarity with reprogramming strategies and methods

  • Strong familiarity with Electrical and Electronic Systems Engineering (EESE) and program teams a plus

  • Familiarity with current Infotainment Systems a plus

  • Leadership and people management skills a plus

  • Systems engineering background a plus

  • HS/MSCAN protocol practical knowledge and Modeling toolset knowledge (CANoe)

  • Automotive electrical component & subsystem design and test experience

  • Strong engineering discipline skills (e.g. DFMEA, DVP, P diagrams, Block diagrams)

  • 2 years automotive electronics testing or HIL experience

Education

  • Undergraduate engineering degree in electronics, or electrical engineering-minimum requirement with Automotive background (Bonus)
