Job Title:

Research Engineer Battery

Job Description & Qualifications:

This position is a research engineer that will be leading the development of low voltage battery technology for future power supply such as autonomous and 48 volt vehicles.

  • Develop innovative battery systems based on these requirements.

  • Collaboration with the supply base during their early development.

  • Integration of innovative battery systems based in existing and future power supply topologies.

  • Development of component specifications.

  • Supporting component model development

  • Support commissioning and testing of power supply systems with innovative energy storage devices.

  • Evaluation, analysis and discussion of test data.

  • Documentation and presentation of development steps including preparation of recommendations to the management.

  • Support of product planning with technical information

  • Representation of Ford in national and international working groups.

  • Scientific publications and presentation on conferences.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Material Science and Engineering

  • 3+ years of experience in the area of Lithium battery development

  • 3+ years of experience in the area of power supply

  • 3+ years of professional experience in the area of product development, advanced engineering or research

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Material Science and Engineering

  • Ability to handle complex tasks and challenging situations under compressed timing
