The Industrial Engineering – Summer Vacation Replacement (SVR) is a temporary position responsible for managing in a supporting role multiple work teams in a fast paced, high volume unionized manufacturing environment. The Industrial Engineering position will be responsible for coordinating daily team activities to achieve business metrics and implementing World Class Manufacturing (WCM) tools and processes as it relates to industrial engineering tasks.
Position will be located in a Detroit area assembly plant.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Systems or Manufacturing Engineering or currently pursuing a degree in Industrial, Systems or Manufacturing Engineering
Strong interest in the automotive industry
Proficient in Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite applications
Preferred Qualifications:
Manufacturing experience
Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor or develop team members
Strong understanding of LEAN manufacturing systems
