Join us!/spanbJob Posting Title/bSenior Analytical EngineerbJob Description Summary/bAs a Senior Analytical Engineer, the associate will play a critical role in the design and development our current electrification programs as well as next-gen EDUs. They would work closely with the CAE leads to plan and execute various Electro-Magnetic, FEA, Durability, Sealing and Gearbox Dynamic simulations.bJob Description/bullispanPerform Rotor and Stator interface design calculations/span/lilispanPerform structural stress and durability CAE analyses of 3-in-1 EDU system and components. Use the results to assess the risk and provide guidance to improve structural design validation for current programs and future products./span/lilispanPerform eDrive housing topology optimization to improve the stiffness and structure integrity and casting performance while reducing the total mass, improving AAM products' overall fuel economy./span/lilispanPerform e-Drive Gear Deflection analysis with Masta, ABAQUS, and Ansol T3D to verify the gearbox dynamic performance./span/lilispanPerform EDU NVH thermal sensitivity through driveline system dynamics and bearing dynamics to improve the NVH robustness./span/lilispanPerform EDU bolt joint sealing and bolt slippage performance analysis with various gasket designs and sealing strategies./span/liliAll other duties as assigned./li/ulbRequired Skills and Education/bullispanMaster degrees in mechanical engineering with three years of automotive industry FEA experience or a PhD with two years of automotive FEA experience. PhD preferred./span/lilispanNonlinear stress and fatigue analysis using Hyperworks, Abaqus, Nastran etc. /span/lilispanBolt joint sealing and bolt slippage performance analysis of EDU systems under complex loading and thermal conditions/span/lilispanTopology optimization analysis of components using Optistruct software/span/lilispanGear design /spanspank/spanspannowledge and experience working with tools like Masta, T3D and /spanspanC/spanspanalyx/span/lilispanMobility and modal frequency analysis of EDU/Driveline systems using Nastran or Optistruct/span/lilispanDemonstrated expertise (academic or professional) in the areas of solid mechanics, numerical analysis methods, fatigue and optimization methods/span/lilispanScripting skills for process automation/span/lilispanPrior experience in performing e-Drive System analyses and traction motor preferred/spanspan. /spanspanExposure to Mechatronics, Electromagnetic and Thermal CAE is a plus./span/lilispanE-Motor and Inverter experience preferred/span/lilispanDemonstrated problem solving skills/span/li/ull
