Job Overview


The Standardization Engineer will lead the development of new and updated global standardization plans.

This includes:

  • Lead the global working team including Engineering, Purchasing, Cost group, etc. for the completion and approval of component Standardization plans

  • Oversight and coordination of related standardization plan open points

  • Ensuring complete standardization plans decks to be presented to the different management reviews and to the Steering Committee; Position also includes implementation activities related to corporate vehicle programs

  • Supporting vehicle program and architecture teams with CSD (Component Set Definition) in the early phases of vehicle development

  • Monitoring Standard components application on vehicles and performing Conformance Assessments, ensuring thereby compliance with the Standardization Plans

  • Identifying and managing timely the Deviations, ensuring completeness and consistency of the Deviation document contents

  • Presenting, with support from engineering and purchasing team, of the Deviation deck at global review meetings and Standardization Steering Committees

  • Updating the Implementation Plans in accordance with LRP versions

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (BSME, BSEE or equivalent)

  • 5 years of experience in automotive product design/development

  • 3 years of experience in Standardization (technical component reuse strategies)

  • Demonstrated proficiency of English language (both spoken and written) and presentation/communication skills

  • Demonstrated experience working with a global team (Europe, S. America, Asia)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated global team leadership and team building attitude

  • Problem solving, pro-activeness and target-oriented attitude

  • Microsoft office suite skills (excel, PowerPoint, Word, SharePoint)

  • Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Drive)
