The FCA Quality Organization is currently seeking an Off Shift Lead for our Supplier Table Process to join our Quality organization at the new Detroit 2 Assembly Plant in Detroit, Michigan. This position offers the selected candidate an opportunity to be an integral part of company whose focus is to change the automotive landscape.

The Off Shift Supplier Table Lead is responsible for partnering with UAW work teams in a fast paced high volume automotive manufacturing environment to resolve incoming material issues. The selected candidate will partner with both salary and hourly team leaders, quality inspectors and repair area personnel to achieve various business metrics of the department.

Job responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Developing the performance of the supplier table work team

  • Continued improvement of company-wide quality performance – with concentration to incoming material concerns

  • Provide technical support between engineering, production and product design departments, as needed investigates quality concerns internally, at supplier and customer sites

  • Initiate the corrective action team and is responsible for monitoring and implementing corrective and preventive actions

  • Coordinate quality related activities to achieve business metrics of the department

  • Establish and maintain the documentation of processes utilizing FCA World Class Manufacturing (WCM) tools

  • Utilize problem solving tools in day-to-day operations

  • Demonstrated people management experience

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Experience in using problem solving tools

  • Ability to work overtime as needed

  • Demonstrated use of MS Office products

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Automotive experience

  • Six Sigma experience
