Seeking a highly motivated Research Associate for postdoctoral training to work in a lab focusing on understanding mechanisms of toxicity and inflammation from exposures to toxic chemical agents employing state-of-the-art molecular techniques and toxicology approaches with an ultimate goal of effectively treating injuries or diseases from toxic chemical exposures.
Doctorate -toxicology, molecular biology, immunology
PhD in the field of toxicology, molecular biology, immunology, pharmacology or a related field. Experience working with cell culture and animal studies (mostly mice). Molecular biology, biochemistry and immunology /immunohistochemistry techniques (including PCR, RT-PCR, western blotting and ELISAs, tissue histopathological microscopic observations and analysis etc).
Work experience with skin and/or eye, lung tissues will be helpful but is not desirable.
Proficient written, oral, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Compassion for animals involved in research.
