Position Summary
The Department of Chemistry at Michigan State University invites applications for a position of Research Associate in the lab of Professor Huang. This position will support research projects in the area of development of novel antibodies & vaccines for immunotherapy; development of nanotechnology based imaging methods for cancer detection & profiling; development of new methods for complex carbohydrate synthesis.
1) development of novel antibodies and vaccines for immunotherapy; Antibody engineering, Yeast display of proteins, Vaccine development, Animal model studies
2) development of nanotechnology based imaging methods for cancer detection and profiling; Nanoparticle synthesis and bioconjugation, Molecular imaging, Animal model studies
3) development of new methods for complex carbohydrate synthesis, Chemical synthesis of glycans, Chemoenzymatic synthesis of glycans, Protein engineering to evolve better enzymes

Required Degree
Doctorate -chemistry, chemical engineering or any related fields
Minimum Requirements
PhD in chemistry, chemical engineering or any related fields and any research experience
Desired Qualifications
Prior experience in protein design, immunology, vaccine development, carbohydrate synthesis, glycopeptide synthesis, nanoparticle synthesis, or molecular imaging. Strong problem solving abilities, strong work ethics
