ADAS Hardware Engineer Supervisor

The ADAS Core Competency Supervisor will be responsible for managing a team of electronic Engineers responsible for Electrical design, debug, and work packages of new ADAS products.
Supervise the daily activities of the Engineers in the Core Competency group located in Farmington Hills, including determining prioritization and assessing the status of these activities.
Set team and individual goals for each team member.
Perform individual performance evaluations.
Ensure on Time delivery of the Core Competency group deliverables.
Assist in capital asset planning and facilitate procurement/control.
Analyze and verify any issues discovered and review data with associated engineers.
Work with the HW application and HW Design Specialist teams to ensure design and process continuous improvement items are properly carried forward into new product development efforts.
Ensure Requirements are driven into the product design.
Lead, Develop and continuously improve the processes of the Core Competency group.
Report analysis status and results periodically to senior management.
Occasional travel will be required.
Essential Skills and Experience:
Minimum 8 years related work experience in electronics. Ideal candidate must possess strong customer focused communication skills supporting engineering groups and assembly plant teams
Automotive Camera and Module design experience preferred, but translatable digital & analog electronics acceptable
Several years’ experience in automotive industry
Engineering change control processes and evaluation of change options
Strong organization and communication skills and ability to document product design elements
Experience with OEM engineering systems preferred
Understanding of analog, digital, and micro-electronics required
Proficient in MS Office, specifically Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and Visio
Familiarity with multiple customer specifications and requirements
Ability to read and understand specifications, schematics, CAD data
Ability to work independently in a cross functional team environment
Ability to work within tight deadlines and in high pressure environment
Familiarity with DFMEA’s, DVP&R’s, and Design & Process Validation Testing of automotive electronic components
Good communication skills for interfacing with engineering, suppliers, manufacturing and customers both verbal and written
