Aerotek Controls Engineer in Farmington Hills, Michigan

Day to day responsibilities and duties:

-40% designing, developing, and troubleshooting siemens PLC software for controls systems for engine and transmission assembly lines for customers like Ford and Dana.

-10% Working with the customer to understand specific program needs and applications of the equipment that is involved (presses, CNCs, conveyors, material handling/robots). Solve any open issues or support needs that arise, provide constant communication for current work.

-50% traveling to customer sites to work on installation, launch, and controls systems support related to engine or transmission assembly or any future programs that the company brings in (assembly or packaging systems and services).

Qualificaitons:

5 years of experience of siemens PLC (programming and troubleshooting, meaning from concept to launch/support).

-HMI programming

-open to 50% travel in the midwest and east coast of US

-At least 3 year of experience with automation or automotive assembly

-Willing to learn new plc skills or work on new pieces of equipment/machines
