Automotive Electronics Test Engineer

We are currently seeking a dynamic individual to fill an opening for an Automotive Electronics Design Test Engineer at our Farmington Hills, MI location. Responsibilities of a successful candidate include design, release, maintenance and test validation of electronic components within a vehicle system, and optimization of module circuits and vehicle systems. The electrical department is responsible for components such as meters, body control modules, switches, intelligent key systems, parking aid systems, seat and driving position memory modules, airbag control units and power back door control units.


  • Responsible for project management of electronic modules to achieve program cost, quality, development timing, and delivery timing targets.

  • Lead cross-functional teams to implement design and manufacturing changes, and manage Quality Cost Timing with suppliers for responsible parts.

  • Managing budget for vehicle projects for responsible components and reporting status for cost, quality, and timing.

  • Managing supplier design and development.

  • Supporting Nissan plant during build and SOP. Managing and reporting on cost reduction and warranty investigation activities for current production parts.


  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering

  • Electronic component design experience

  • 1-5 years of directly related professional experience within the automotive industry

  • Microsoft Office Tools

  • Knowledge of product development process and warranty desired

  • Candidates must be U.S. Citizens or Permanent Residents
