General Electric Grand Rapids Electrical Analyzer & Tester in Grand Rapids, Michigan

Role Summary:

A Grand Rapids Electrical Analyzer & Tester's primary purpose is to test and troubleshoot, from a system level down to component level, Avionics military and commercial product for OEM and/or service repair.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Test and troubleshoot operations assembly production units, circuit card assemblies, and components

  • Report product and test equipment failures in quality data tracking system

  • Document passing / failing of test operations

  • Track and submit test equipment due to calibration department

  • Attend and participate in team meetings Qualifications/Requirements:

  • High School Diploma / GED with a Minimum of 1 year of technical experience in testing the troubleshooting of highly technical electronic products (OR Associate's Degree in a technical discipline from an accredited university or college) ELIGIBITLIY REQUIREMENTS:

  • Able and willing to complete and pass the pre-employment electronic principle's test, as required, covering but not limited to such subjects as component identification and digital and analog circuit analysis. Desired Characteristics:

  • Possess a broad experience in and thorough understanding of analog, digital, and microprocessor circuits with the ability to fault isolate to the component / board level using schematic diagrams, parts lists, layouts, and panel prints

  • Minimum of 2 years of technical experience

  • Ability to work under minimum supervision

  • Willingness to learn

  • Knowledge and experience in the set up and use of general purpose test instruments, such as DMM, oscilloscopes, power supplies, capacitance meters, resistor boxes, frequency counters, function generators, angle position indicators, phase angle voltmeters, and automated test equipment

  • Knowledge of Windows and Microsoft Office

  • Familiarity with Electric Static Discharge precautions

  • Experience in soldering of electronic components
