Job Description

Position Summary:

Coordinate activity for customer team PSO (Prototype Sales orders). This includes working with TA engineers to determine prototype exhaust systems requirements; preparing engineering packages for the model shop, coordinating the scheduling activity with the model shop and inspection process prior to shipment.

Major Duties & Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support for communications between our organization and our customers. Support customer required meetings (internal/external).

  • Coordinates activities with the design group to generate drawings and technical specifications.

  • Ensure compliance between customer drawings/specification and Tenneco Automotive capabilities.

  • Provide prototype quotations to customer purchasing or per Tenneco Automotive procedure.

  • Create and maintain prototype inspection reports.

  • Create and follow-up on model shop, test and design orders, as required.

  • Promote Total Value Management (TVM) initiatives within your areas of responsibilities.

  • Provide support to the manufacturing production facilities.

  • Coordinate purchasing activity relative to prototype components.

  • Support and adhere to Tenneco Automotive EH&S policies and procedures

Required Skills

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, or Assoc. Degree plus min. 3-5 years technical experience

  • Sound written and verbal communication skills, must be able to effective communicate across all levels of the customer and TA organization

  • Proven ability to multitask and effectively meet internal and customer deadlines

  • Design experience a plus

  • Strong PC computer skills, Microsoft Office and internet based application programs
