Position Summary:

This position is responsible for the definition and development of business applications that support engineering system business processes for function or business unit. This resource helps to resolve organizational process challenges and problems by analyzing business requirements, aligning these needs with business applications, developing systematic solutions and recommending system controls/protocols to achieve best practice solutions.

Responsibilities:

  • Must have a thorough understanding of Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) concepts.

  • Must have a thorough understanding of CAD tools and concepts.

  • Must have a foundational understanding of Systems Engineering tools and concepts, to include requirements engineering, high level and detailed design processes, Verification and Validation, Simulation and Analysis, Reliability Engineering as well as ERP/MRP/MES tools and functions.

  • Document operational objectives by studying business functions, gathering information, evaluating input and output of requirements collected.

  • Improve systems by studying current practices; designing modifications.

  • Focuse on designing and delivering technology solutions while understanding and considering other job areas.

  • Actively participate in design and review sessions with technical and business teams, including all levels of management.

  • Collaborate with developers, quality assurance, operations and business teams in cross-functional projects from requirements definition and testing to project planning and implementation.

  • Prepare technical reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.

  • Effectively communicate project information to business stakeholders and project management.

  • Ability to perform abstraction, modeling, and theoretical reasoning in the support, creation, and design of complex systems.

  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with a global community including user, architecture, development, and support groups.

  • Demonstrated ability to produce clear, concise, and accurate documentation detailing business processes and requirements.

  • Understanding of use case development and test planning and test execution.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 5 years of experience providing complex technology solutions or complex business process solution.

  • Minimum 10 years? experience with PLM, minimum 5 years? experience with PTC Windchill.

  • Minimum 5 years? experience with CAD tools and CAD data management solutions.

  • Minimum 5 years? experience with systems engineering processes and tools as listed above.

  • Experience in engineer-to-order and custom manufacturing environment preferred.

  • Possesses current technical knowledge and skills relative to business requirements and state of the art information technologies.

  • Experience on project management skills which must include change management, scope and risk management, test planning and management.

  • Experience working within an agile software development environment is preferred

  • Bachelor?s Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, or equivalent technical experience.

  • Logical thinker, results-oriented and with excellent project management, communication, and analytical skills.

  • Independent and motivated individual who requires little supervision and demonstrates sound judgment and decision-making skills.
