Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide advanced technical solutions and leads team through process.

  • Demonstrate creativity and ingenuity in applying engineering principles and practices.

  • Devise innovative solutions to existing manufacturing problems.

  • Apply working knowledge of product design and assembly to the manufacturing process.

  • Create cell layouts and leads process improvement initiatives of high complexity.

  • Use solid Six Sigma and lean tools to improve processes.

  • Use solid concepts of Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA) and implements them into new product introduction.

  • Represent the company with our customers.

  • Participate in and promote process improvements within assigned areas; assists with the development of department and organization procedures.

  • Support the manufacturing floor for any process related questions. Lend lessons learned and lead training efforts for process understanding.

  • Lead and act as a change agent for complex engineering changes.

  • Adhere to applicable Quality System requirements and supports process audits.

  • Lead Process Flow Charts, PFMEA, and Control Plan Reviews.

  • Perform design and support of moderate to high complexity manufacturing systems and equipment, mentoring to other Engineers and supporting process improvements. Solid understanding of design for complex tools and fixturing?s.

  • Solid understanding of all applicable software.

  • May participate in multi-site projects.

  • Solid knowledge of vendors, manufacturing processes, and procurement methods.

  • Train other members of the team on theory and design of existing/new equipment.

  • Ability to use Cad software (Solid works, Creo) to facilitate design of plant layouts.

  • Industrial Engineer specific functions.

  • Able to conduct time studies and forecast labor requirements.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor?s degree and 3+ years of experience in professional engineering or equivalent.

  • Technical Engineering Degree preferred ie..Mechanical Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering etc.

  • Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.

  • Must have the ability to become proficient in company systems, processes, and tools.

  • Experience in custom engineered solution businesses as well as factory automation is ideal.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office.

  • Excellent written/verbal communication and presentation skills.

  • Proficient Six Sigma knowledge; Advanced understanding of Lean Manufacturing concepts.

  • Efficient Project planning tools.

  • Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills; Solid understanding of Root Cause Analysis.

  • Strong computer skills and solid technical writing skills.

  • Uses solid concepts of Design for Manufacturability and Assembly (DFMA) and implements them into new product development.

  • Solid understanding of electrical and/or mechanical machine drawings, including industry specifications.

  • Strong understanding of applicable manufacturing processes.

  • Ability to apply advanced knowledge of capabilities studies, Gage R&R, and machine capability.

  • Excellent understanding of product drawings, including GD&T and specification flow down.

  • Proficient comprehension of cell and plant layout drawings.
