Responsibilities:

  • Monitor design timelines and delegate responsibilities to the design team.

  • Formally present to customers and employees within the organization.

  • Effectively communicate with internal and external vendors.

  • Develop and fully design equipment, layouts, and subassemblies.

  • Ensure that equipment is designed to customer and/or JR Automation build specifications using standard techniques and approach.

  • Expected to manage several on-going projects concurrently; including people, travel, customer interactions, etc.

  • Take project assignment and direction from Mechanical Engineering Managers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor?s Degree in Engineering or 5+ years? mechanical design experience preferably in the automation industry.

  • Proven experience putting together comprehensive design packages.

  • 5+ years working experience with 3D CAD software, Pro-E/Creo preferred.

  • 1+ years of experience leading small teams of other designers/engineers.
