Wolseley Industrial Group is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a Cutting Tool Project Manager. This position can be based out of Lansing or Bridgeport and will require up to 50% travel in Michigan, Alabama and Oregon.

Responsibilities

• Lead cost savings efforts at customer locations

• Analyze data and utilize resources to identify process/product improvements

• Work directly with customers in a manufacturing environment to facilitate projects

• Establish a complete tracking/monitoring system for test materials

• Prepare documentation/presentations and provide updates on status of all projects

• Interface with Wolseley site personnel, customers and suppliers to drive cost savings initiatives

• Complete supplier evaluations & communicate overall material/supplier performance

• Develop strong relationship with sourcing and program leaders

• Participate, initiate and support all company projects and programs

• Assist in the implementation and monitoring of customer initiatives and projects

• Assure supplier understanding of product specifications

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience (3-5 years)

• Experience working in a manufacturing environment

• Extensive knowledge of cutting tools a general knowledge of all MRO materials

• CPP or CPSM designation (as appropriate) preferred, but not required

• Effective oral and written communications and interpersonal skills

• Demonstrated analytical ability solving complex problems

• Demonstrated job-related professional skills, highly organized and self-motivated

• Demonstrated presentation skills

• Proficient in MS Excel & PowerPoint software

• General knowledge of MSDS, E,H & S procedures

• General knowledge of SPR/Six Sigma Process (sample testing, quality assurance)
