This division supports technical work on projects ranging in scope from complete new high voltage electric power lines down to crossarm and insulator replacements through contracted services supplied by third parties.Job Description/ResponsibilitiesThis individual will be a key member and serve in an independent contributor capacity within the HVD Lines Contracted Design Division, working with contractors who are working on capital HVD projects for reliability and capacity needs. The successful candidate will develop contracts and documents for our contracted designs including scopes, drawings, BOMs, permitting support, etc to support the electric High Voltage Distribution Lines projects. This position will review work of designers and outside contractors, manage workload, set priorities among competing interests, process invoices and track budgets; and be able to report on these projects. This position is responsible for communicating with persons outside and inside the company concerning topics related to HVD Lines that are of high importance and unique in nature.The position is located at the Parnall Road facility in Jackson, MI. Open to remote work within the state of MIRequirements/Qualificationsand#8226;A 2-year Associate Degree in the requisite scientific or technical field, of which, 48 credit hours must be technical in nature. 48 scientific or technical credit hours as measured on a semester basis; the 48 scientific or technical credit hours can be obtained through colleges, technical institutes, licensed apprenticeship programs, trade schools, military programs, etc.and#8226;MicroStation, PLS-CADD, or other CAD Drafting experience.For further consideration, please remember to upload your College Transcript(s) [official OR unofficial] and supporting documentation into the "Supporting Documents" section of your Application.The following skills and experience may set you apart:and#8226;Prior experience designing power lines with an understanding of electric lines construction practices and limitations.and#8226;Knowledge of PLS-CADD and High Voltage Distribution system componentsand#8226;Strong written and verbal communication and problem-solving skills.
