State of Michigan Student Assistant (Materials) Field Services in Lansing, Michigan
This is a non-career position limited to 129 hours/month.
Assist the Aggregate Quality staff in the combined aggregate laboratory areas; petrographic, aggregate, and forensic geology.
This includes a variety of tasks, including sample and testing of rock cores, aggregates, and concrete; the collection of data; and development of internal documentation materials. This position assists the aggregate quality unit by providing appropriate geologic data or processing reports for geologic testing or related information.
Required Education and Experience
Education Current enrollment in at least six credit hours in a post-secondary institution.
Experience No specific type or amount is required.
Additional Requirements and Information
All newly hired state employees are required to submit and pass a pre-employment drug test and physical (if applicable) prior to their actual appointment. Criminal and driving records will also be checked if applicable. Any position offer will be conditional until results of the drug test, physical, criminal background, and driving records indicate eligibility for employment.
