Wolseley Industrial Group is currently seeking the right individual to fill an immediate need for a Tooling Engineer. This position can be based out of Lansing or Bridgeport and will require 50% travel.
Lead cost savings efforts at customer locations
Analyze data and utilize resources to identify process/product improvements
Work directly with customers in a manufacturing environment to facilitate projects
Establish a complete tracking/monitoring system for test materials
Prepare documentation/presentations and provide updates on status of all projects
Interface with Wolseley site personnel, customers and suppliers to drive cost savings initiatives
Complete supplier evaluations & communicate overall material/supplier performance
Develop strong relationship with sourcing and program leaders
Participate, initiate and support all company projects and programs
Assist in the implementation and monitoring of customer initiatives and projects
Assure supplier understanding of product specifications
Bachelors degree or equivalent work experience (3-5 years)
CPP or CPSM designation (as appropriate) preferred, but not required
Effective oral and written communications and interpersonal skills
Demonstrated analytical ability solving complex problems
Demonstrated job-related professional skills, highly organized and self-motivated
Experience working in a manufacturing environment and a general knowledge of all MRO materials
Demonstrated presentation skills
Proficient in MS Excel & PowerPoint software
General knowledge of MSDS, E,H & S procedures
General knowledge of SPR/Six Sigma Process (sample testing, quality assurance)
