Our diverse team of manufacturing engineers play a crucial role in transforming our facilities through implementing the adoption of ground-breaking technologies. From raw sheet metal to final assembly, this team is reinventing the tools and processes that will enable GM to deliver on our promise to create an all-electric future.Responsible for all torque related activity across all production shifts and shops. This includes the two Vehicle Added Assemblers (Dakkota and Avancez) for LDT. Responsible for compliance in General Assembly making sure that all requirements are met. Responsible for replacing the GCA group leader when when needed. Responsible for the 3000 account for quality and driving to green per month. Responsible for training on all shifts.Scope of Responsibilities:* Torque board audits* Maintain the Torque and PCP/TEB board* Execute the business plan for power tool torque monitoring, calibration, and maintenance activities* Implement Corporate Torque Strategies.* Lead Torque/Compliance training for all levels* Communicate between shifts and departments to implement Fastening Procedures, Fastening Tool and Equipment Bulletins, Fastening Process Control Plans, Fastening Best Practices* Troubleshoot and Resolve fastening related problems work with QE's* Develop and maintain Torque KPC/Standard care sheets* Do correlation studies and submit to HQ for approval to change specs.* Interface with all groups related to fastening issues* Work with assigned personnel as required on current and future fastening projects* Audit to the Quality Manual* Train to be a certified auditor* Work with product production teams in process quality improvements, warranty cost reductions.* Set up a meeting with launch personal to go over GRA's for previous years to make sure all issues are captured in the new launch process* Complete GRA's in the time allotted in the GRA system* Work with all departments/VAA's/Ryder on implementing GRA's* Support production team during prototype, pilot validation through acceleration to implementation.* Utilize data from Voice of the Customer and Voice of Process for continuous improvement of fastening processes* Communicate department quality goals, and leverage resources to solve quality problems for fastening* Represent the Plant during Torque/Compliance Auditsbr
