Vehicle Motion Embedded Controls (VMEC) is seeking an experienced, motivated Propulsion Control Systems Integration Engineer to support global vehicle motion control systems. In this role, you will be responsible for interfacing as a single point program manager with vehicle program teams and vehicle assembly plants, guiding and directing the development and production release of various complex embedded control modules.
This experience includes exposure to high level management such as vehicle chief engineers as well as opportunities to work with experts in the field of controls
Primary goal is to deliver integrated hardware, software & calibration for Development, Production and Service by ensuring program execution to standard processes.
Primary Vehicle Motion Embedded Controls interface to Vehicle Program Teams, Vehicle Assembly Plants, and Customer Care and Aftersales
Lead and support continuous process improvements
Chair the Platform Controls Interface Meeting (PCIM)

Minimum Requirement Skills and Experience
BS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent
Knowledge of and 4 - 7 years of experience in vehicle system development including several of the following areas: Control system integration and testing of hardware and software, Controller hardware design and failure modes of electronic modules, Electronic control module, sensor or actuator development, manufacturing and test engineering, Vehicle electrical systems and serial data communications (e.g. CAN, GMLAN), System/software/hardware requirements development and validation

High level of analytical ability where problems are unusual and difficult
High level of interpersonal skills to work independently and effectively with others

Preferred Skills and Experience
Prior experience in manufacturing
Prior experience negotiating between parties
Knowledge and 5+ years of experience in Embedded Controls
Knowledge and experience with controller and data file release process
Knowledge and experience in Control system hardware/software implementation, integration and test
Demonstrated proficiency in Project Management
Demonstrated proficiency in both written and verbal communication
Demonstrated ability to work in a Global environment
Demonstrated proficiency in planning and organizing, drives for results
Take initiative and efficient in issue resolution
