McLaren Health Care Biomedical Equip Tech II in Mount Pleasant, Michigan
Description
JOB SUMMARY
Provides
equipment service and support, to include repairs, preventive maintenance,
quality assurance inspections, installation, testing, calibration,
troubleshooting and general maintenance on one or more categories of general
biomedical patient care equipment and related technologies at multiple McLaren
facilities and shared services locations. Assists with work performed by other
service staff, both McLaren staff as well as external vendors, in completion of
repair and maintenance work activities. Reviews and makes recommendations on
vendor invoices related to repair and maintenance on selected specialty devices
and systems. Assists with installation planning, acceptance testing and ongoing
up-time management of newly purchased specialty equipment. Routinely travels to
all assigned hospital locations, affiliates and other external business
entities (contractual) to provide technical services as required or assigned.

Qualifications
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
Education/ Experience Requirements
Required:
- An
Associates degree in electronics, biomedical engineering, or equivalent
technical training.
- Documented
attendance at 2 or more manufacturer sponsored model specific equipment service
training sessions, on-site or at the vendor’s selected facility, or documented
cross training on assigned technologies.
- Ability
to work independently with limited supervision.
- Knowledgeable
on use and operation of software based products, to include general PC based
systems; database and office software applications.
- Fire
or more years of hands on experience performing direct repair and maintenance
on both general and more advanced clinical equipment types as outlined above.
