bCAD Designer/bbLocation: Muskegon, MI (49442)/bbJob ID: #60201/b5 months contract7:30 AM - 5:00 PMSUMMARYbr-Primary job function is to create CAD models and drawings of CPS product components, Assemblies, and Fixtures to support Product Manufacturing Engineering.br-Create, Modify and Maintain designs in Pro-Engineer Creo 2 and other CAD toolsbr-Develop/support transmission, engine, and power pack control systems design conceptsbr-Develop mechanical/electromechanicalneumatic control systems designs.br-Prepare new designs consistent with planned analysis toolsbr-Support engine, transmission and power pack control system components procurement, assembly / test, and productionbr-Write engineering change notices, participate in Material Release Board, process Engineering Change Proposals, follow engineering drawing and specification revisions, work in an Integrated Product Team environment.br-Assist with development of designerformance specifications for internal departments and suppliersbr-Support engine, transmission, power pack and propulsion system related proposals (internal and external RFQ's)br-Integrate engine, transmission, power pack and subsystems (controls and electrical) into military vehicles.br-Recommend, plan and implement component or system product improvementsbr-Coordinate design models and development programs with functional departments and integrated product teams (Quality, Logistics, Manufacturing, Customer).br-Present design models and supporting analyses to customer representatives, and close-out questions on the design.RequirementsEducation/Experience/Licenses etc.:brMinimum 10 years related experience with automotive component and /or systems design.brBS in Mechanical Engineering or Aerospace Engineering preferred; will consider experience in lieu of degree.brMust be qualified using Pro-Engineer Creo 2 design and associated modeling tools. Casting knowledge required.brMust possess a strong working knowledge of GDT, MBE/MBD, Fundamental drafting practices and import/export of CAD data.brProficient in Microsoft Office Software (WORD, EXCEL, PowerPoint, etc.)brAbility to work well with suppliers, customers, and Government representatives.brExcellent written and verbal communications skillsbrMust be willing to travel (domestic suppliers and vendors).brPreviously held security clearance preferred.
