We are seeking a new colleague to join our E-Mobility R&D team in Northville, MI!
Responsibilities
Technical leadership of project engineering team, taking them through the quotation, execution and start of volume production phases.
Responsible for technology, scheduling and deadlines and development costs in development projects.
Technical planning, controlling and managing of projects in conjunction with the Program Management.
Being the point of contact for the customer and checking and implementing customer requirements with internal and external partners
Cross-locational leadership of an international project team of engineers
Liaison between the R&D Basic Development team, Europe Core Technology team and the Direct Customer Team of North America.
Execute change management process for released product designs.
Lead Product Development Team in the development of automotive products in accordance with customer timing and requirements.
Ensure system development, validation, and delivery are according to guidelines and processes (e.g. ISO26262, DOORS, etc.).
Read and interpret customer specifications and ensure these requirements are documented and incorporated into the product design.
Ensure test and analysis coverage validates that the design meets all the requirements.
Participates in the development of Mechanical, Electrical, Hardware and Software specifications.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s in Mechatronics/Electrical Engineering and 3+ years experience in systems and hardware of complex projects.
Experience in successful series of introduction in automotive projects
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Ability to influence and engage at multiple levels within internal and external organizations
Excellent project and planning abilities
Able to manage multiple responsibilities
Superior interpersonal, communications and listening skills
Strong drive for teamwork with a customer-oriented approach to projects
