The Electrified Propulsion System Chief Engineer will oversee the technical deliverables for execution of Electrified Propulsion system development across Polaris products. The position will report to the VP Engineering for Global Electrical, Embedded and Connected Systems and will interface across a broad network including the cross functional Polaris team and partnership/supplier organizations. The role will require collaboration with the CTO and GBUs to ensure a deep understanding of customer requirements and future trends and to translate those to engineering specifications and product roadmaps. The Electrified Propulsion System Chief Engineer’s primary responsibility is to ensure that Electrified Propulsion Systems meet the customer requirements and are executed on time, on budget and on quality with the support of various engineering teams and suppliers.


  • On time, on budget and on quality engineering execution of electrified propulsion systems using the PDP process.

  • Risk identification, evaluation and management, understanding tradeoffs between timing, cost/investment and performance, quality and safety.

  • Resource / investment evaluation and management for various aspects of Electrified Propulsion Systems.

  • Using customer requirements input from various sources (Engineering, GBUs, Corporate Strategy and Business teams) to establish technology specifications and 10 year roadmap.

  • Supplier technical evaluation and support of supplier selection / business case evaluations.

  • Benchmarking and assessment of industry and competitor technologies / roadmaps

  • Continuous improvement of PDP and other processes associated with engineering development of Electrified Propulsion Systems including identification and evaluation of tools and methods to support.


  • B.S. degree in Engineering (Electrical strongly preferred), MBA or MS-MOT strongly preferred.

  • Minimum 10 years of Engineering, Product and Technology Development experience required.

  • Well versed in electrified propulsion and controls technology landscape.

  • Collaborative leader who can lead by influence.

  • Strategic thinker with strong personal drive to achieve.

  • Effective communicator at all levels of an organization.
