KPIT TECHNOLOGIES INC Engineer (Controls) in NOVI, Michigan

Engineer(s) (Controls) (full time; multiple openings) needed in Novi, Michigan and various unanticipated locations throughout the U.S. to design and calibrate controls for automobile engines, powertrain systems, and aftertreatment systems. Analyze project requirements to identify areas where automation of tasks and/or processes is possible to improve the quality of calibrations. Prepare Proof of Concept (POC) for the infrastructure and engineering tools needed for the integration and release of the new calibration. Use a variety of programming tools and technologies to calibrate Engine Control Modules (ECMs). Develop test calibrations for new software releases and validate the calibration before release. Help coordinate the integration process by performing the calibration divide, assemble, and upload. Run comparisons of newly calibrated ECMs to ensure the calibrations result in the required functionality. Must have a Bachelorrsquo;s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any) or a related field plus two (2) years of IT experience. The two (2) years of experience must include experience with MATLAB, Simulink, IBM Notes, and PTC Integrity; OR MATLAB, Simulink, CANalyzer, Embedded Coder, and Trace 32. In lieu of a Bachelorrsquo;s Degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Engineering (any) or related field, we will accept any suitable combination of education, training, and/or experience as determined by a professional evaluation service.
