This position consists of 100% field work, with local travel to and from job sites. This position requires a hard-working, safe, efficient, and dedicated employee that is excited to receive on the job training, working with a team, and able to work independently once trained. This position offers an opportunity to learn about a wide variety of environmental projects and work with a great team.Primary responsibilities include:Groundwater and soil remediation system operations, maintenance, and monitoring (OMM)Knowledge of various remediation system operation ( e .g. soil vapor extraction, air sparging, dual phase extraction ), system equipment and maintenance associated with the systems/equipment (i.e ., carbon change outs, air strippers, blowers, different pump types , water chemistry )Understanding of remediation system telemetry and primary logic controlsTroubleshooting and optimizing remediation systemsCompletion of repairs to remediation systemsCollection of environmental data from air, soil, and water during remediation events and during system operationCompletion of small construction-type jobs such as concrete work, fence removal, HDPE/PVC piping constructionWorking with handower tools to change out pumps, fittings, flanges, filters and gauges .Groundwater, soil, and/or surface water samplingSampling associated with remediation systems (influent/effluent) and other types of compliance discharge sampling .Subcontractor Oversight for field projects and remediation system installationsSite Visits and DocumentationKey Attributes:Ability to document site activities/notes and provide communication to project teamAbility to read and understand OMM manuals and system drawingsAbility to work independently and problem solve with guidance from subject matter expertsAbility to work over 95% in the field at times requiring some travelMechanical aptitudeProficiency in Microsoft Office programsRequired Qualifications:3 years'relevantexperiencePrevious experience operating, maintaining and monitoring remediation systems ( e.g. soil vapor extraction, air sparging, dual phase extraction)Preferred Qualifications :40 Hour HAZWOPER certificationWhy Choose Arcadis?Arcadis appreciates the value inherent to a diverse, equitable workforce and an inclusive work environment.
