This includes machine and component design, build support, system debug, and project documentation. The mechanical engineer is part of a multi-discipline engineering team that designs industrial test equipment primarily for the transportation industries.Main Responsibilities Includeul style="font-weight: 400;"liConceptualize and design test equipment machines based upon customer specifications/liliWork with other engineers, technicians, and managers to obtain and/or define system requirements and specifications/liliAct as lead project engineer on custom engineered projects/liliCorrespond and interface with both customers and suppliers/liliConduct feasibility studies and analytical modeling/liliCreate Bills of Materials (BOM) utilizing mechanical detail and assembly drawings and input them into Link’s ERP software/liliCreate and modify product manuals/liliModify and update drawings based on “as-built” feedback/liliMeet cost, manufacturing, and key milestone targets for products designed and developed/liliSupport shop personnel with machine assembly and startup were required/liliSupport RD related activities/li/ulQualificationsul style="font-weight: 400;"liBachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering/liliExperience with AutoCAD Inventor, SolidWorks, or similar 3D CAD software/liliExperience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and Project/liliSkilled in planning, organizing, decision making, problem solving, and project management/liliAble to establish and maintain effective professional relationships with managers, supervisors, and other fellow employees/liliAble to prepare complex written reports and other documentation/liliExcellent verbal and written communication skills/li/ul style="font-weight: 400;"Preferred Requirements:ul style="font-weight: 400;"liMinimum of 2+ years of related work experience in equipment or machine design/liliExperience in design of complex mechanical and/or electromechanical systems/liliKnowledge in hydraulicneumatic systems/li/ul style="font-weight: 600;"LINK is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer Minorities/Females/Veterans/Disabled.
