The Chassis Systems Control NAFTA Product Division develops innovative solutions for active driving safety including highly automated driving. Areas include: Antilock Braking Systems(ABS), Traction Control Systems(TCS), Electronic Stability Control(ESC), Sensors (wheel-speed, steering-angle, and yaw-rate); Electronics for occupant and pedestrian safety (airbag control and crash sensors), Driver assistance systems (Predictive Emergency Braking, and Night Vision Networked solutions) As a leading supplier in the automotive industry, Robert Bosch LLC has made its Farmington Hills and Plymouth Michigan facilities the headquarters for its North American automotive businesses. Responsible for ensuring process consistency, quality and competence in latest Bosch Development Processes / Tools / Roles across multiple OEM Customer Teams.
Calibration, verification and validation of ABS/TCS/ESC Brake Modulation Systems.
Calibration, verification and validation of chassis controls value added functions
Technical interface between customer and internal technical project teams for ABS/TCS/ESC Brake systems and value added functions.
Evaluation of the customer specifications and coordination of tracking system within technical project teams.
Coordination of test vehicles and necessary test equipment to perform tests.
Calibration of ABS/TCS/ESC Brake Modulation Systems and value added functions (in vehicle testing).
Participation in vehicle test sessions in different locations (summer and winter).
Project handling and project documentation according to specified processes.
Performing release procedures (verification and validation) for ABS/TCS/ESC software for different sample stages as well as final production software.
Customer support and meetings on a daily basis
Potential to travel 6 - 10 weeks per year, domestic and international
Valid driver's license (willing to continue learning techniques for operating a vehicle at the physical limits).
Flexible, in order to participate in test sessions in different locations (in and outside of the U.S. during all weather seasons).
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
1 or more years of experience with planning and conduction of tests as well as evaluation of test results.
1 or more years of experience with embedded software for automotive or safety systems development.
1 or more years of experience with hardware and software tools that enable measurement and data collection/storage of physical parameters and control software signals/data in automotive vehicles.
4+ years’ experience in calibration of ABS function strongly preferred.
Strong verbal and written communication skills necessary.
Prior experience in automotive techniques, vehicle dynamics and control theory.
Team oriented working style.
Past experience dealing with OEM customers strongly preferred with strong negotiation skills necessary.
Very strong organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work and drive results in an international team.
