As part of the SKF Innovation Business Development, Product Development and Engineering plays a decisive role in defining the right offers for the SKF Product value propositions. Product Development and Engineering translates market trends and customer needs into new, long term and sustainable solutions, by defining, developing and maintaining the product technical data and ensuring the up to date product technical knowledge is used to bring value to SKF customers and employees.We are now looking for a new member to join our Product Engineering Team, to be located in SKF USA Inc. and#8211; Plymouth Michigan.Product Engineering TSBB supports the daily business with technical product expertise and finished product level specifications. Our team has many vital responsibilities that enable new products and variants to end up at the customer. We enable smooth handling of product requests from the customers by providing specifications, product data and new solutions.Your day-to-day work:and#8226;Participate in/support Product Development in Product Development Projects with e.g. prototype drawings and industrializing project resultsand#8226;Plan, drive, execute and report design requests and engineering tasks with priority to customer enquiriesand#8226;Use and maintain design tools for parametric design of bearing variants and design automationand#8226;Support manufacturing units globally with finished specification detailsand#8226;Create tools to improve and streamline Engineering tasksand#8226;Work with / develop maintain generic bearing 3D CAD models for design verification and creation of finished drawingsand#8226;Support Sales/AE with product knowledgeand#8226;Drive product performance benchmarking activities and supply stakeholders with relevant informationand#8226;Drive ICR and Engineering change implementations on design and specification leveland#8226;Assuring consistently manufacturability and robustness of product, to fit application specific requirementsand#8226;Assuring effective alignment with process development and manufacturing capabilities (present and future)and#8226;Deviation handling.We expect you to have:and#8226;A minimum of a Bachelorand#8217;s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineeringand#8226;Technical University Degree or proven work experience in machine/mechanical system design that can add value to the department both now and in the futureand#8226;Broad technical understanding and interestand#8226;Good communication skill and good knowledge of English, both verbally and in writingand#8226;Tools requirements:and#8226;CREO/Solid Works - have good knowledge about parametric design and generic modelsand#8226;PDM Link knowledgeand#8226;SKF internal standards and databases on product specificationand#8226;Experience and exposure to project managementand#8226;Travelling is expected both nationally and internationally (up to 50% of the time the first year, )and#8226;The person we are looking for is self-motivated with a high level of own drive and commitment.and#8226;A team player interested in learning and sharing competencies with others.Personal Profileand#8226;Well-structured and self-motivated with a high level of own drive and commitmentand#8226;Pro-active and open-minded team player, eager to learn and share competenciesand#8226;Ability to understand stakeholder needs and transform those into feasible and robust solutionsand#8226;Willingness an
