Responsibilities include utilizing engineering tools and processes to successfully develop components and systems for vehicle programs.Effectively achieve program milestones by thorough and rigorous program management. You will coach and lead suppliers to timely execution of program deliverables with perfection.Senior design release engineer with key experience on multiple production propulsionowertrain system applications to provide technical direction for mechanical, electrical and electro-mechanical component design and release. Proficient in Design and Analysis of power electronics components for definition of requirements, execution of design, analysis, development, integration, and testing of power electronics components.The broad scope of responsibilities will include:* Functioning as senior design release engineer for fuel cell High voltage and Low voltage components. Component will have high complexity and/or change level.* Responsible for design, development, and integration.* Working as key senior engineer for fuel cell applications that includes interfaces to the fuel cell vehicle subsystems* Managing integration with other fuel cell modules that includes electrical interfaces and power inverter* Providing technical direction for fuel cell system design and assembly, vehicle integration, and validation activities.Key ResponsibilitiesResponsible for definition of requirements, design, analysis, development and control of complex subsystems where a considerable amount of creativity and initiative are involved. Individual will receive general direction from supervisor but will need to exercise independent judgment and solution development.* Develops SOR (system of requirements) for component* Support all component issue resolution from concept to production* Ensure all design aspects are addressed to meet key program milestones and timing* Perform detailed design analyses associated with converter design requirements* Leads and Supports technical review and sourcing process* Supports program team as required in PAPIR, PET, CIT, Dev. Val Meetings.* Defines ICD (interface control document) requirements for component and subsystems, negotiates and reaches agreement with interfacing components, works with others to resolve issues* Leads PDT (product development team) for component/subsystems (e.g. Open Issues Tracking, timing, parts list, DFMEA, etc.)* Establish component and subsystem designs to meet program performance and timing requirements* Validates design using analytical tools including finite elem
