In this role you will have the opportunity to lead the design engineering of new and existing connector and terminal products from concept to production. font class="bold"What You Will Do In Your Role/fontulliLeads development efforts in new connectors, terminals, and cable assemblies per cable type like LVDS, USB, Coaxial, STQ, Ethernet for high speed data transmission used in autonomous vehicles and automotive infotainment systems./liliPerform gap analysis for BOM and test per customer requirements and automotive test specifications like USCAR, GMW, FCA, IEC, LV214, ISO, Ford, EIA against Molexand#8217;s product requirements and conduct cross-functional risk assessment (e.g. DFMEA, DRBFM, etc.) to develop and execute on a project./liliResponsible to create and execute test plan and report results for designroduct validations. /liliResponsible to lead failure analysis studies to resolve test failures and implement systemic corrective actions./liliResponsible for analyzing customer requirements and identify, assess, notify and develop risk mitigation plan and clearly communicate with customers and Molex product development team through technical presentations./liliFollow all Product Development Phases required to bring concepts into production and continually improve the product and process./liliPrepares and follows engineering change requests (ECR) per document control procedures.and#160;/liliSupports other engineers in department by checking drawings and provides mark-up for corrections./li/ul and#160; and#160;brfont class="bold"The Experience You Will Bring/fontfont class="bold"Requirements:/fontulliBachelorand#8217;s Degree in Engineering or equivalent degree or experience/liliFive or more years of design and product development experience /liliDesign for Manufacturing/Assembly (DFM/DFA) Experience/liliStrong team collaboration and clear sense of urgency/liliProblem solving skills using systematic tools (8D, fishbone, cause/effect diagrams)/liliKnowledge of the Product development process for High Speed cable assemblies/liliEffective oral and written communication skills /liliStrong computer skills; experience with spreadsheets, presentation and Microsoft Office /liliAbility to explain complex technical cable assembly and test concepts to others/liliCAD skills (2D and 3D)/liliKnowledge of GDT, tolerance studies, statistical analysis and FEA/li/ulfont class="bold"/fontbr spanSalary and Benefits Commensurate with Experience.br Equal Opportunity Employer. br Except where prohibited by state law, all offers of employment are conditioned upon successfully passing a drug test. br br This employer uses E-Verify.
