Located in our Rochester Hills, MI office, you will be responsible for developing, design and testing electronic controls for automotive electric pumps and motors. and#160; and#160;This senior position is responsible for all aspects of hardware design, including requirements gathering, concept development, component selection, schematic design, circuit board layout, product integration testing, and manufacturing readiness preparation. The holder of this position will also work with the engineering management staff to develop global design strategy for control boards and assist in the selection of component suppliers and act a technical subject expert for control board design for the corporation./divdivbr/divulliYou"ll be reporting to the Director of Global Product Line Management - Water Pumps.and#160;/liliCross functionally you will work withand#160;plant Engineering, Purchasing, Quality Control and Process team to make sure electric control board work properly with the electric pumps and motors manufactured at plants./liliExternally you will work withand#160;Gates supplier to ensure electric control board meet Gates requirement and standards./li/uldivbr/divdivKey responsibilities (to name a few):/divdivbr/divulliImplement and simulate digital, analog and power electronics circuits using modern tools and techniques/liliBuild, troubleshoot, analyze and test digital, analog and power electronics circuits in a lab setting/liliDesign and test micro-controller based systems/liliDevelop reusable and modular design platforms/liliUnderstand circuit schematics and electronic component datasheets/liliDefine and manage project development cost and project task scheduling/liliDefine and manage product unit costand#160;/liliProvide input on product design and strategy/liliWork with manufacturers and internal/external customers to build and refine products/li/uldivand#160;/divdivand#160;/divdivABOUT YOU/divdivand#160;/divdivMinimum Requirements/divul type="disc"li4-Year Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent/lili10 years of experience in electronic or power electronics product development with PCB fabrication and assembly/liliPCBA vendor interface experience/liliExperience with CAE tools including: schematic capture, PCB layout, analog/digital simulation and integrated development environments./liliUnderstand electronic principles, control theory, and their application/liliExcellent problem solving skills/liliStrong verbal and written communication skills/liliExcellent organizati
